I’m excited to say that I have two new and yummalicious products to tell you about! First, of course, was the Vegan grab’n go Indian food that I was talking about last week. Well, it finally came in yesterday, and boy did Sukhi send me a lot of stuff! My freezer is literally ready to explode! I’ll be doing reviews on the products as I try them out — I have to pace myself otherwise I’ll go into a Indian food coma!

This right here is delicious:

In case you didn’t know (and I’m sure you do!) a roti is a traditional Indian bread made from wheat flour. It is similar to a tortilla, only has a thicker substance and is very tasty. It’s a healthier choice compared to naans or poori/puri, which is fried. Sukhi has created a line of ready to eat wraps made from rotis and filled with Indian deliciousness! This one, in particular, the Vegan mixed vegetable, impressed me a lot. You may be able to tell from the picture that there are carrots, peas and potatoes — a fairly traditional filling for samosas too. The spiciness was right on and the flavor delicate. As a half-Indian lady I give it two thumbs up!

The stats on this bad boy (and it is a generous serving) are: 350 calories, 50 fat cals; 6 grams fat, 500mg sodium, and 9 grams protein. Not too bad, right? If I’m not mistaken, you can find these in the prepared foods section of Whole Foods on the west coast, midwest, southwest, mid-atlantic, and Florida. She’s working on getting them into WF on the East coast, so look out for that!

HTB also brought home something last night that piqued my interest:

Pretty label, right? That got my attention right away. Also, I’m not the most fond of water and I’ve stopped putting those Splenda flavor packets in mine because I don’t want to drink the chemicals. This drink mix is organic and basically only contains fruit juices and agave syrup and has a very nice taste! I only put a small amount in my water, so as to keep the calories as low as possible, and it still flavored it enough to make me feel happy about drinking my H2O. Here are the stats:

I’m off to chow down on my little mexican casserole. I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
